Bangalore:

India may have strengthened its position in the second Test but the debutant Australia paceman Peter George is hoping his team would be successful in turning the table on the hosts and level the series.

Australia are 202 for seven, with a lead of 185 with one full day remaining the final match of the series.

"We obviously learnt a lot from the last game and we did do a lot of right things. We could take the positives out of that and hopefully turn around in this game.

"We are still batting tomorrow and we have three wickets on hand and we can bat as long as we can. Obviously we will be geared up to defend," George told reporters after the close of fourth day's play here.

George had a dream first Test wicket as he bowled batting great Sachin Tendulkar, who scored his sixth double hundred.

The pacer said Tendulkar's wicket was a result of hard work and he will always cherish to play in a match where the batting icon got his 14,000 runs in Tests.

"I have not experienced such a crowd shouts before. Sachin compiling his 14000 odd Test runs was unbelievable experience for me. Something I always remember having been part of this match. Playing such a large crowd is also something special for me," he said.

George said his confidence is growing as he is gaining experience by each passing day.

"The first day I did not do much. I was involved during the last three days with the game by batting and bowling.

"I was lot more confidence today. I was able to extract lit bit of swing today. The wicket is getting more and more difficult to bat on. We have the confidence to defend whatever our total is going to be," he added.
