India's hopes dived once champion batsman Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed for 32 in the 27th over to leave his team wallowing at 81 for six. Other batsmen who perished in the second session were Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Virat Kohli. R Ashwin (30) and Dhoni held the fort as India were 117/6 at tea.
