Opener Wasim Jaffer would lead Mumbai in the Buchi Babu All India Invitation Cricket Tournament to be played from August 16 at Chennai.

Opener Wasim Jaffer would lead Mumbai in the Buchi Babu All India Invitation Cricket Tournament to be played from August 16 at Chennai.

Rohit Sharma has been named as his deputy.

Batsman Ajinkya Rahane and pacer Dhawal Kulkarni, who were members of the victorious India Emerging Players squad in Australia, have been rested, according to Mumbai Cricket Association sources.

The team: Wasim Jaffer (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), Sahil Kukreja, Abhishek Nayar, Ajit Agarkar, Prashant Naik, Sushant Marathe, Praful Waghela, Omkar Gurav (WK), Ramesh Powar, Murtuza Hussain, Vikrant Yeligeti, Iqbal Abdulla, Usman Malvi, Rahil Shaikh and Rohan Raje. Coach: Pravin Amre.
