The selection committee will meet in Chennai on October 25 to select the Indian team for the first Test of the three-match series to be held in Ahmedabad from November 4-8.

Team India is currently in Goa for the third and final one-dayer against Australia. India won the second ODI by five wickets in Visakhapatnam yesterday after the first match was washed off in Kochi.

"The selection committee will meet on October 25 to select the team for first Test against New Zealand," according to selection committee sources.

India will play a three-match Test series against New Zealand before featuring in a five-match ODI series starting from November 28.

"The New Zealand team will arrive on October 30 or 31 and would proceed straight to Ahmedabad," according to BCCI sources.

The second and third Test against New Zealand are scheduled to be held on November 12-16 and November 20-24 at Hyderabad and Nagpur respectively.

India have beaten Australia 2-0 in the two-match Test series recently.
