Dhaka, Bangladesh:
Opener Tamim Iqbal smashed 80 off 72 balls as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by four wickets in the third one-day international on Saturday, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
Bangladesh cruised to 198-6 in just 40.4 overs after bowling Zimbabwe out for 196 at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National stadium.
Chasing the victory target, Bangladesh lost opener Zunaed Siddique (5) in the early stages, dismissed by Kyle Jarvis (3-38). But Iqbal shared a 98-run second wicket partnership with Mohammad Ashraful (63) to turn the match around.
Their partnership was broken by spinner Graeme Cremer, who later trapped Mushfiqur Rahim (4) lbw for his 2-43.
Iqbal hit two sixes and 10 boundaries before falling to Cremer.
Zimbabwe took the last four Bangladesh wickets for just 76 runs, but it proved too late.
Earlier, Nazmul Hossain and Enamul Haque took three wickets apiece as Bangladesh bowled Zimbabwe out, despite a spirited 84-run innings from stand-in captain Hamilton Masakadza.
Zimbabwe were sent in to bat first and managed 19 runs before paceman Hossain had opening batsman Brendan Taylor (2) caught behind by Rahim.
Opener Masakadza built up the innings to 90 with a 71-run stand with Charles Coventry for the second wicket. Coventry (29) fell to spinner Enamul Haque, who also had Forster Mutizwa dismissed for a duck in the 16th over.
Masakadza then lost his wicket, pulling a lame shot to Raqibul Hassan at midwicket off Abdur Razzak. His 84 runs came off 79 balls, with a dozen boundaries and a six.
Mahmudullah Riyad bowled Malcolm Waller (27), followed by Razzak's dismissal of Stuart Matsikenyeri (5) the same way.
Haque, who ended up with a career-best 3-45, also took out Justice "Chamu" Chibhabha (5) and took a great catch at third man to dismiss Cremer (9) off Hossain.
Naeem Islam dismissed Raymond Price (3), and Hossain finished the job for Bangladesh, bowling Elton Chigumbura (20) to end Zimbabwe's innings in 41.1 overs.
Paceman Hossain finished with 3-13, while Razzak got 2-41.
Bangladesh included an extra spinner, Enamul Haque, in place of paceman Dollar Mahmud, while Zimbabwe replaced injured wicketkeeper Tatenda Taibu with Mutizwa.
