# Yusuf Pathan (123 not out) has posted his career-best innings in ODIs - his maiden hundred. 

# Yusuf, for the first time in an ODI, has recorded a hundred and captured three wickets in the same match.

# Yusuf is the fifth Indian all-rounder after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh and Robin Singh to accomplish the double of a hundred and three wickets in the same match.

# Yusuf has received the Man of the Match for the first time in ODIs.

# Yusuf's tally of seven sixes in an innings is bettered only by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in ODIs. Dhoni had hit ten sixes in his unbeaten innings of 183 off 145 balls against Sri Lanka at Jaipur on October 31, 2005.

# Saurabh Tiwary (37 not out) has recorded his highest innings in ODIs, surpassing the 12 not out against Australia at Visakhapatnam on October 20, 2010.

# Rohit Sharma (44) has registered his highest innings against New Zealand, eclipsing the 43 not out at Auckland on March 14, 2009

# Yusuf and Tiwary were involved in a stand of 133 (unbroken) for the sixth wicket - India's highest against New Zealand, bettering the 127 between Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Sharma at Vadodara on December 17, 1988.

# Parthiv Patel has recorded his career-best innings in ODIs, outstripping the 28 against Australia at Sydney on January 22, 2004.

# Virat Kohli has posted his third duck in ODIs - his first against New Zealand.

# Kohli's aggregate of  232 (ave.77.33)in four innings at a strike rate of 93.17 in the present series is the second highest, next only to Gautam Gambhir (329).

# James Franklin's outstanding unbeaten knock of 98 is his best ever in ODIs, surpassing the 72 not out against India at Vadodara on December 4, 2010.

# Franklin's above two innings are his only fifties in ODIs.

# India have posted their third successive opening stand of sixty-plus in the present series - 87 by Gambhir and Vijay at Jaipur and 115 at Vadodara followed by 67 by Gambhir and Parthiv Patel at Bangalore on December 7 - the first such instance for India against New Zealand in India in the same series.

# New Zealand (315/7) have registered their fourth highest total against India in ODIs - their highest three are 349 for nine at Rajkot on November 5, 1999, 348 for eight at Nagpur on November 26, 1995 and 334 at Christchurch on March 8, 2009.

# India's 321/5 is the second highest total at this venue - the highest being the 347 for two by Australia against India on November 12, 2003.

# India's total is the highest by a team batting second at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
