"No. We can carry on with this squad. May be, today we will get a chance to see," Brian Rose, Somerset's Director of Cricket, told reporters here ahead of their Champions League Twenty20 League A match on Friday.
Rose said Trescothick told him after the side's second match against Trinidad and Tobago and briefed him about his problem.
"He came up to me after the second game and confided that he was not giving 100 per cent. He did not feel right to carry on," he said.
Rose hailed Trescothick's commitment to travel to India to play in the Champions League Twenty 20 tournament despite the past record of his illness.
Trescothick's illness first surfaced during England's tour of India in 2006 and then reoccurred at the start of the Ashes campaign in Australia in November of that year.
Early last year, he pulled out of a pre-season tour to Dubai after breaking down at Heathrow airport. He formally announced his retirement from international cricket in March last year.
