Karachi:
All-rounder Shoaib Malik will lead Pakistan in next month's Super Sixes tournament in Hong Kong.
Malik, who was ignored for the one-day series in England and also dropped from the forthcoming series against South Africa in the UAE, will lead a strong seven-member squad for the traditional super sixes event to be held on November 6 and 7.
Other members of the Pakistan team are Imran Nazir, Shoaib Khan, Sohail Khan, Shabbir Ahmed, Ahmed Shahzad and Asad Ali.
Shabbir, who makes a comeback for any international event after last playing in a Twenty20 international against South Africa in Johannesburg in February 2007, performed well in the just concluded national T20 championship.
The 34-year-old pacer's career spanning 10 Tests and 32 ODIs has been spoilt by his suspect bowling action that has been reported to the ICC thrice.
Besides Pakistan, teams from Australia, India, England, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa and Sri Lanka will take part. The teams are comprised of six players with one substitute.
