Mashoom Singha, who posed in a Kingfisher swimsuit calendar in 2005, seems to have had a calming influence on the fiery Australia pacer.

Australian speedster Shaun Tait celebrated his engagement to Mashoom Singha by taking a hat-trick for Essex against Nottingham in Trent Bridge on Friday in the English County Championship.

Mashoom Singha is a swimsuit model who later became a wine entrepreneur. Reportedly, staying with the 29-year-old in Mumbai's high-class Bandra area made him appreciate the simple things life had to offer. He became a more relaxed soul and proposed to Singha in Paris last month.

Singha had featured in a swimsuit calendar shoot for Kingfisher on Kangaroo Island back in 2005. She says that Tait is a quiet person in his private life which is contrary to his aggressive personality on the field of play.

They met at a function during the 2010 edition of the Indian Premier League. The 30-year-old fiery pacer currently plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and the couple are expected to celebrate their engagement in Mumbai after the Friends Provident T20 series ends.

Shaun Tait has played in 35 ODIs, 3 Tests and 19 T20Is for Australia. His last appearance for Australia was in the quarterfinal match against India in the 2011 ICC World Cup.

Singha is expected to explore business opportunities in Adelaide when Tait plays for the Adelaide Strikers who will start their 2013 T20 Big Bash League campaign against the Hurricanes in Hobart on December 22.
