Karachi:

Pakistan's flamboyant all-rounder, Shahid Afridi on Friday met former President General (retired) Pervez Musharraf to enquire about his ailing mother in Dubai.

Afridi dropped in at the residence of Musharraf's daughter in Defence Housing Society and remained with the former head of the state for a while.

A photograph of the two was also released on the social network site.

"It was a courtesy visit to inquire about Musharraf Sahab's mother's health and we also discussed some cricket naturally," Afridi told Geo News.

The all-rounder was quick to give his statement to dispel any speculations about why he had chosen to visit the former President at a time when the ruling party and the main opposition parties have ganged up against him.
