Pakistan are scheduled to face England in four Test matches, five one-day internationals and a T20 in 2016, the ECB confirmed. Pakistan will start their tour on July 3 with two warm-up games before the first Test. Pakistan will play their Test matches in Lord's, Old Trafford, Edgbaston and The Oval. The tour will conclude on September 7 with a T20I in Old Trafford. (PCB Divided on Butt, Amir and Asif's Return)
Pakistan's 2010 trip was overshadowed by the spot-fixing scandal during the fourth and final Test at Lord's.
Pakistan's Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir and their agent Mazhar Majeed arranged deliberate no-balls in return for money in a deal with an undercover reporter of The News of the World, a now defunct British tabloid.
The lengthy sanctions against the three players expire next Tuesday.
But, Pakistan Cricket Board's chief selector Haroon Rasheed last week effectively ruled out any early return for the trio when England face Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates in October.
Before Pakistan's arrival, Sri Lanka arrive in England for a three-Test, five ODI and a T20I series. Sri Lanka will kickstart the English summer with three Tests, with the first being in Headingley. Chester-le-Street will host a Test for the first time after 2013 while the third and final Test will be in Lord's.
Sri Lanka will also play two ODIs in Ireland before signing the tour off with five ODIs and a T20I against England.
Sri Lanka will be playing a three-Test series against England after five years and they will be aiming to repeat their success of the 2014 tour, when they won the ODI series 3-2 and secured a Test series victory after 16 years.
