The good times continue for Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team. With series wins in Sri Lanka and against South Africa at home, India will be aiming to continue the dominance against West Indies. Heading into the second Test, they are high on confidence following their record win in Antigua.
They will be heading to Sabina Park, a venue where they have enjoyed in the recent past. In 2006, Anil Kumble, the current coach of the Indian team, picked up six wickets to give India their first series win in the West Indies after 35 years. In 2011, Rahul Dravid's century helped India win the first Test and the series 1-0. Kohli will now be aiming for a hat-trick of wins at this venue.
The Indian Test skipper will also be wanting to emulate Kapil Dev's feat 30 years ago. India have won two or more Tests outside the sub-continent and Zimbabwe only thrice in their Test history. They last achieved the feat in 1986, when Kapil led India to a 2-0 win over England in England. With West Indies low on confidence, Kohli will be aiming to match this achievement.
With the Sabina Park wicket sporting a green look, pace could be the order of the day. One could see Kohli employ four pace bowlers to go with R Ashwin's guile. This could mean a debut for Shardul Thakur or a place in the XI for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, there is one forced change in the team with KL Rahul replacing Murali Vijay, who will miss the Test due to an injured thumb.
For the West Indies, their batting put on a woeful display in Antigua. The only question could be with respect to the bowling. Alzarri Jospeh, the West Indies U-19 star, could be brought in to strengthen the bowling
