Kohli will be back to business after being rested for Zimbabwe series
Virat Kohli will start his partnership with Anil Kumble with a fresh look. The young Test captain, known for his hairstyle and tattoos, is sporting a "crew cut" as he gets down to business ahead of the four-Test series in the West Indies in July-August.
Kohli and head coach Kumble will attend a preparatory camp at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore from Wednesday. Sanjay Bangar (batting) and Abhay Sharma (fielding) will also attend the camp which will end on July 4. India arrive in St Kitts on July 6.
With India keen to improve their overseas record, this will be a fresh challenge for the Kohli-Kumble combination. Kohli, 27, had a good rapport with former team director Ravi Shastri, who lost out to Kumble in the race for the head coach's job.
India will play four Test matches, the first one starting in Antigua on July 21. Having played a lot of limited overs games, India will have two warm-up games to prepare for the Tests. The first two-day match (July 9-10) will be played at Warner Park, St Kitts while the second one will be at the same venue (July 14-16).
Kohli will be coming off a break. He was rested for the ODI and T20 series in Zimbabwe.
