The reference to the Universe Boss came when West Indies Twenty20 skipper Darren Sammy had said that Gayle was unfairly treated.
Currently, Gayle is in England playing for Somerset in the Natwest Twenty20 blast. In two matches, he has only managed 54 runs with a highest of 49 against Essex in Taunton. The left-hander had blasted 76 off 38 balls in the 2016 Indian Premier League but it was not enough as his team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight runs.
Manchester United are also entering a new era after Jose Mourinho took charge of the club following the departure of Louis van Gaal. The club had a poor 2015/16 season, finishing fifth in the Premier League but winning the FA Cup.
