While Jadeja came to his team's rescue from 66 for three, Cheteswar Pujara (10) failed to get going.
Another handy contribution came from Sheldon Jackson, who remained unbeaten on 82 at stumps.

Sheldon too played a solid knock when his team needed. His 152-ball innings comprised eight fours and a six.
Abhijit Dey did the maximum damage for Tripura, taking four wickets including the scalps of Pujara and Jadeja.
