BCCI Goofs Up on N. Srinivasan, Revises Supreme Court Plea Against Him

Admitting that it made a factual error in its plea dated September 12, the BCCI moved Supreme Court again on September 23 saying in that the N Srinivasan mentioned as India Cements Trustee was "another N Srinivasan" and not the former BCCI chief. Admitting that it had made a bonafide error, the BCCI told Supreme Court that the namesake, with a different father and different address was not the real target against whom the plea was made.

In a revised application, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur once again sought the Supreme Court's clarity on whether N. Srinivasan, who owned IPL side Chennai Super Kings and was the managing director of India Cements, could attend BCCI meetings due to his conflict of issues as identified by the Justice Lodha panel.

The BCCI also wanted the Supreme Court "to examine the restructuring of Chennai Super Kings so that it was not a device adopted by Srinivasan to attend BCCI meetings."

Srinivasan, who is the chairman of the ICC, is reportedly seeking to put his candidate as BCCI president after the death of Jagmohan Dalmiya on Sunday
