India A and Australia A cricketers wore black armbands and observed two minutes silence in memory of late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

The India A and Australia A cricketers wore black armbands and observed two minutes silence in memory of late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the start of the second four-day unofficial Test here on Wednesday. (Sachin Pays Last Respects to President Kalam)
BCCI tweeted a picture of the two teams observing silence with their heads bowed and wearing black armbands at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.

Kalam, who was known as the people's President (2002-07) and the 'missile man', passed away at the age of 83 on Monday after he collapsed while delivering a lecture in IIM Shillong.
The mortal remains of the 'Bharat Ratna' awardee will be laid to rest in his home town of Rameswaram on Thursday.
