Just hours after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were handed two-year suspensions in connection with the IPL 2013 betting scandal, the controversial erstwhile commisioner Lalit Modi took to twitter to express his views on the turn of events on Wednesday.
Have clearly said from 2013 that @ChennaiIPL and @rajasthanroyals both should be sacked. Srini and gang must go pic.twitter.com/J0h3KMRhWj

Modi was of the opinion that the two franchises should have been suspended permanently and have gotten away with lighter punishments of just two years. (Suspension was always a possibility: CSK official)

Modi also called for N. Srinivasan's removal as ICC president. (The rise and fall of IPL brand)
There should be not even a days delay in this happening. The @Icc rules clearly state it. Wake up all members pic.twitter.com/LqukKIfQvd
