Mahendra Singh Dhoni: Bowlers did a good job. It was a very good wicket to bat on, but Ashish (Nehra) and Ishwar (Pandey) didn't allow them to hit the boundaries. Close to 180-185 was the par score. 173 was a bit under par, but we still needed to bat well. Ishwar's catch had a good impact on the game, because we know how (Corey) Anderson can swing his bat. With me and Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) around, if needed 8 to 10 runs an over, we can chase it, that's why David Hussey was given a free license.

Rohit Sharma: We batted well till the 15th-16th over. We knew that 170 was never going to be enough. I don't want to take anything away from the guys, due to their effort we got to this stage. We played some good cricket in the last game, we wanted to take momentum into this game but Chennai were the better team today. Hopefully, we will comeback better and stronger next year.

Suresh Raina: I think we executed the plans really well. The wicket was really good, the ball was coming on nicely. I thought I can take (Pragyan) Ojha for I can hit over midwicket and Harbhajan (Singh) over cover. I think they were 15 to 20 runs short. We had a good partnership. The game plan was to bat till the last over. Ishwar's catch set the tone for us, Corey Anderson was batting really well. Hopefully we can play good cricket in the coming two games and hopefully do really well.

Corey Anderson Hungry for Success As Mumbai Aim to Defend Title

Fresh from his whirlwind knock that sealed Mumbai Indians' improbable entry into the playoffs of IPL-7, Corey Anderson is hungry for more and hopes that "bigger and better things" await the defending champions in the knockout stage.

"It looks that way as of now and hopefully it stays like that. I haven't fully fulfilled what I probably should have done all this while and I only hope it is a start for bigger and better things to come," Anderson said. (Read more)

Swashbuckling Anderson Still Not Comfortable With T20 format

Swashbuckling New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson, who played a blistering knock to flatten Rajasthan Royals last Sunday and help holders Mumbai Indians qualify for the IPL playoffs, said that the T20 format has troubled him a bit.

"I think T20 is the one format where I have struggled the most out of all the formats. The more I start playing, the more I am starting to learn," said Anderson. (Read more)
