Shane Warne admits rocky phase but rubbishes split with Liz Hurley
Liz Hurley all but confirmed her split from cricket legend Shane Warne in a heartbreaking tweet today. The British actress-cum-model apologized to her followers for her lack of updates due to recent events being "too raw and personal" to share.
A veteran of several cricketing battles, Shane Warne is seemingly fighting hard to save his relationship with British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley. According to media reports, Warne cancelled a high-profile event in Melbourne on Wednesday to launch his own foundation's ambassadors programme, fuelling speculation that relationship with Hurley was over. According to reports in the Australian and British media, Warne is lying low after splitting with the former model and actress. The rumours come exactly two years since Warne proposed to Hurley following a whirlwind romance. In September 2011, the lovebirds got engaged.
In spite of not reaching out to each other for several weeks, both Warne and Hurley broke their 'silence' on Wednesday. A devastated Warne has tweeted: "Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish. Yes we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet."

Earlier on Wednesday, Hurley almost confirmed her split with a heartbreaking tweet: "Apologies to loyal followers for Twitter silence on recent events. Too raw & personal to share right now."
According to the Mirror, Hurley is in the UK working on TV pilots for The Royals, where she will play the role of the queen. Agents of both Warne and Hurley did not comment on the reported rift.
Media reports also speculated that Hurley, who has been seen in recent days without her dazzling blue sapphire engagement ring - called off the engagement over rumours Warne and his ex-wife Simone Callahan had rekindled their close friendship.
A source told The Sun newspaper that "Liz found out he had been over at Simone's house a lot''.
"It is felt now the kids are getting older, they need their dad around. Liz couldn't ever handle Shane and Simone still being best friends,'' the source said, according to a report in The Age.
Earlier in the week The Sun reported that the constant travelling back and forth between the UK and Australia had contributed to the demise of the relationship. Speculation of a split heightened after fans noticed the two stars had not reached out to each other on Twitter for several weeks. Most notably, 47-year-old Hurley failed to wish Warne a happy birthday on the site when he turned 44 on September 13. In fact Warne's last tweet to Hurley was on August 30, in which he apparently made plans to spend a day at the races together.
