Indore:

The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association on Tuesday forbid both the teams of faction-ridden Rajasthan Cricket Association from playing Twenty-20 Central Zone League Tournament, which commenced here.

The MPCA action came on the directives of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), sources said.

As a result, all the matches which the Rajasthan team was scheduled to play with four other teams in the tournament stand cancelled, they said.

With Rajasthan being barred from playing, Uttar Pradesh, Vidharbha, Railway and Madhya Pradesh have been left. Two teams of RCA arrived here to take part in the championship following a battle of supremacy going on in the two groups of RCA.

This is the second time that the BCCI has directed the MPCA to keep off the Rajasthan teams from playing in tournments.

Last week, BCCI had directed the MPCA to forbid Rajasthan to play under-19 women's Central Zone League one-day tournament.
