Mohali:

Australian fast bowler Bret Lee received two stitches on his bowling fingers on the second day of the second Test against India at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium on Saturday.

Lee was injured while trying to collect the ball at the bowler's end and run out night-watchman Ishant Sharma. He was taken out of the ground for medical treatment.

"He should be fine. The team doctor was at the ground and gave him the stitches. He should be back shortly," Australian team physio Alex Kontouris said.
