Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya was on Sunday unanimously elected as the president of the Indore Division Cricket Association (IDCA) during its biennial elections.
When a member of the IDCA proposed the name of Vijaywargiya as the president of the cricket body, the Minister expressed his inability to take up the responsibility in view of his other commitments and instead proposed the name of the association's active member, Amitabh Vijaywargiya in his place.
However, the IDCA members rejected the proposal in unison following which the minister was elected as the chief of the cricket body for the third consecutive term. On the occasion, the minister assured that he would take all possible measures to promote cricket in every district of the division.
