Judge rejects Sandhu as witness for Lalit Modi
Prompted by the allegations made by former India cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu to NDTV on Chris Cairns' involvement in match fixing, Lalit Modi has taken note.

Prompted by the allegations made by former India cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu to NDTV on Chris Cairns' involvement in match fixing, Lalit Modi has taken note.
Modi's council submitted an application to have Sandhu, the former coach of the team Cairns played for the in the Indian Cricket League (ICL), as witness. However, that was rejected by Justice David Bean.
According to Bean, Sandhu hasn't said anything which adds to what he said in 2008.
It is also learnt that the verdict on the case in not expected anytime soon.
Remember Cairns had taken a libel action against former IPL Chairman and Commissioner Lalit Modi for his Twitter comments suggesting that Cairns fixed matches in the Indian Cricket League in 2008.
