N. Srinivasan has become the prominent - and recurring - figure in the Indian Premier League spot-fixing case in Supreme Court. The two-judge bench has made several stern observations against the former BCCI president in the 18-month long case. Trying to get a second term as chief, issues ranging from conflict of interest to his son-in-law, Gurunath Meiyappan, being convicted of spot-fixing have been big hurdles. Can the Tamil Nadu strongman make his way back to the board's fold? Catch live updates from Monday (December 15) hearing here:
* Supreme Court slams IPL COO Sundar Raman for cover-up. "You were taking care of celebrities and only watching the fun."
* Today, the judges will hear former BCCI president I.S. Bindra's counsel, who is expected to press charges against Srinivasan. The pressure to step aside from the BCCI is mounting by the day on N. Srinivasan, who is facing conflict of interest issues since his company India Cements owns former IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings.
* The court has made it clear that it wants tainted officials out of cricket administration. It, however, has given no definite order yet. Bindra's legal action is expected to increase Srinivasan's woes.
* Did Srinivasan do enough to stop his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan from betting and sharing team information? Meiyappan has been indicted by the probe panel for betting and has also been established as a CSK official. Srinivasan and India Cements are now trying to distance themselves from Meiyappan.
* Supreme Court, on December 10, deferred the BCCI president's election till the end of January.
* Will Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals be suspended? A bench headed by Justice TS Thakur previously asked why the two teams should no face strict action considering both Meiyappan and Raj Kundra - co-owner of Royals - have been indicted.
* A probe panel headed by retired judge Mukul Mudgal had submitted its report to Supreme Court last month. Some of its major observations included Srinivasan failing to act against those involved in spot-fixing and indicting Meiyappan and Kundra.
