New Delhi:
Australia and New Zealand have both expressed concern about IPL security after a terror threat.
The Australian Cricketers' Association will reportedly help formulate a list of security demands for IPL after a meeting attended by the majority of Australian cricketers due to play in next month's tournament. Paul Marsh, the ACA's chief executive, said the players want to be involved in the event, but there are safety fears.
Meanwhile, New Zealand's Players Association Chief Heath Mills has also spoken about security concerns. In fact the NZPA believes that the threat of extremists is very credible and that their concerns must be addressed by the IPL who unfortunately do not recognise players associations.
So far the IPL has rejected dealing with players' associations, a move that forced unions from Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa to commission their own safety report on the situation in India.
