Shikhar Dhawan filled in for Warner as he lined up with the rest of the captains during the blockbuster event and signed on a bat, pledging allegiance to the MCC Spirit of Cricket.
After Australia's World Cup triumph, Warner took the time off and married his partner Candice Falzon, as reported by cricket.com.au. Warner is expected to join his team on Wednesday.
