India skipper Shubman Gill changes the bowling lineup and hands over the ball to Mohammed Siraj. However, he makes a big mistake in the over as Siraj appeals for LBW against Sharafuddin Ashraf but the on-field umpire signals Not Out. In desperation of a breakthrough, Gill opts for a DRS, which then shows that the ball had actually hit the bat before touching the pads. As a result, India lose another review and are left with just one.

BOWLED!!!! Prasidh Krishna strikes early and cleans up Azmatullah Omarzai for duck. A loose shot from the Punjab Kings star. The ball hits the inside edge and then rattles the leg-stump. With disappointment on his face, Omarzai walks back to the dugout as celebrations erupt in the Indian camp. Sixth wicket gone for Afghanistan.

Manav Suthar comes to bowl a full over and delivers a maiden. Indian bowlers have successfully managed to put Afghanistan batters under pressure. The visitors need to break the shackles to bounce back into the match.

A good start for India on Day 3 as Prasidh Krishna bowled a maiden over. The duo of Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai is not taking any risks in the early hours of the game and taking it slow. However, it will be interesting to see if they change gears in the upcoming overs.

The Day 3 of the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan finally begins. For Afghanistan, Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai have resumed the innings for Afghanistan from 113/5. The duo need to form a solid partnership, in order to avoid the follow-on. On the other hand, Manav Suthar will be continuing his over from Day 2. 

If Manav Suthar gets two more wickets today, he will become the 10th Indian bowler to get a five-wicket haul on his debut. The list also includes the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel. Apart from this, he has already joined the elite list of Indian bowlers, who got wickets in the first over of their Test debut. All eyes are now on the young spinner. 

"It still looks brand new, to be honest. Well done to the curator of the ground. The ground's in terrific nick. The pitch looks fantastic. It's been so hot as well, but it's held together beautifully. Again, you can see some areas here where the foot marks from the bowlers are creating a little bit rough. But look, it's spun from the straight ball yesterday. So I'm assuming today you'll see a little bit more spin. Maybe it stay a little bit lower as the game goes on. So you see the class bowlers really attack the stumps and bowl quite straight. But I think it's going to be about how do you play spin and how do you bowl spin," reckon Deep Dasgupta and Michael Clarke.

“He (Suthar) has been brilliant. We as players who have been playing with him in the last few years know what he can actually bring to the table, especially in this format. The amount of skills he's got and the way he's sort of worked on them over the years is a genuine treat to watch. For him to bring out his best skill sets, especially on Day 2, is amazing. Congrats to him, and you can expect a lot more from him, especially in terms of winning a lot of games for India," Washington, who scored an unbeaten half-century in India's first innings, said. 

Debutant left-arm spinner Manav Suthar is blessed with amazing skills-sets and will be a treat to watch in the coming days, reckoned all-rounder Washington Sundar. Asked to comment on Suthar's performance, the off-spinner was all-praise.

Afghanistan's batting order suffered a horrific collapse on Day 2 as they were five down for 113 at stumps. The onus is now on Rahmat Shah, who is batting at 43 and keeping some hopes alive for the visitors. Afghanistan need to bat a bit longer, in order to avoid the follow-on threat. 

"My focus during the spell seemed to be on bowling in the right areas and backing my strengths. The wicket was helping, so my effort was to bowl in the right areas and hit the right length as consistently as possible. (When did you learn that you were making your debut?) I found out only in the morning when we arrived at the ground. (But you were prepared?) Yes, sir. (Could you tell us a little more about what those strengths are?) The focus was simple. The wicket was offering some help and my strength is getting the ball to turn. So my aim was to extract as much turn as possible because the pitch was assisting," said Manav Suthar at the end of play on Day 2. 

Debutant Manav Suthar's classical left-arm spin bowling was a beacon of hope for a bright future as his three wickets gave India complete control on the second day of their one-off Test against Afghanistan. With three wickets on Day 2, Suthar is aiming to get a five-wicket haul on his Test debut. 

India reduced Afghanistan to 113 for five at stumps after declaring their first innings on 564 for 8 on Day 2 of the one-off Test on Sunday. Debutant Manav Suthar (3/21) bagged his maiden wicket, as he dismissed Abdul Malik for 16 at the stroke of tea. He later got the scalps of Rahmanullah Gurbaz (12) and Afsar Zazai (3). Prasidh Krishna (2/27) was the other wicket-taker for India. Rahmat Shah was batting on 43 not out as stumps was called at the dismissal of Zazai. Afghanistan reached 113 for 5 from 39.5 overs. The visitors trail by 451 runs.
