India A vs Australia A, Highlights: Hosts Suffer Crushing 119-Run Loss
Australia A followed up their thumping win against South Africa A in the first match by thrashing India A by 119 runs. Catch all the highlights.
Australia A put up a thorough performance in this match against India A. They have won by 119 runs to secure the bonus point and go on top in this tri-series. India A will now look to bounce back against South Africa A on Sunday. Follow what happened here.
* Brilliant catch and Australia A win by 119 runs! Sandhu also gets his fourth wicket and India are bowled out for 215. Kulkarni lofts this full delivery over mid-off but Pattinson runs back and dives full length to take a stunning catch. This is a heavy loss for India A and they will look to bounce back in their next game against South Africa A. This is Australia A's second consecutive win and they have secured a bonus point.
* Kulkarni and Sandeep have now batted for 34 balls. Zampa has ended his spell with figures of 10-0-49-4, wonderful bowling. India A are 214/9 after 42 overs. Can they reach 267? Looks difficult.
* The final pair continue to frustrate Australia A. Nathan Coulter-Nile sarcastically applauded Sandeep Sharma's defense while Dhawal Kulkarni is tempted to just block everything. The way these two are defending solidly, it clearly shows that India A coach Rahul Dravid is having a good impact on their batting.
* Zampa gets his fourth wicket. Wonderful performance from the legspinner. He flights this delivery and bowls it slower through the air, Karn Sharma heaves it to deep midwicket where Sandhu takes the catch. India A are 202/9 in the 37th over.
* Parvez Rasool's painful stay at the crease has ended. He charges down the track and looks to have a wild slog to a flatter delivery from Zampa but he misses. Wade initially fumbles but manages to effect the stumping to catch Rasool short of his crease. He goes for 10 off 27 balls. Initially, the third umpire pressed the green button for a second but changed it to red. India A 183/8 in the 35th over.
* Dropped! Rare lapse in the field from Australia A. Karn Sharma lofts Zampa to widish long-on where Pattinson runs to his left but is unable to hold on to the catch.
* India A are fighting an uphill battle here. If they are bowled out for under 267, then Australia A get the bonus point.
* Australia A are coming close to victory here. After surviving a stumping appeal in the previous ball, Jadhav comes down the track and mistimes the lofted shot to long-on where substitute Peter Handscomb takes a good leaping catch. Jadhav perishes for 50 and Zampa gets his second wicket. India A are 168/7 after 31 overs.
* Kedar Jadhav fights on for India A by scoring an attacking fifty off 48 balls. The knock has included five fours and one six so far but India A are well behind the game. India A are 166/6 after 29 overs, needing 169 more for victory.
* Just when an attacking partnership was bringing India A back in the game, Sandhu strikes for the third time and Axar Patel goes for 16. Axar totally mistimes the pull and Burns takes the catch at midwicket. India A 156/6 in the 26th over.
* James Pattinson is struggling in his fifth over as both Kedar Jadhav and Axar Patel go after him. He gets hit for three boundaries and concedes 16 runs as India A stay afloat. Axar is looking in great touch with three boundaries. India A are 143/5 after 23 overs.
* India A continue to lose wickets. Gurinder Sandhu gets his second wicket. He bowls this delivery on a good length just outside off and Sanju Samson (11) limply pushes at it. The edge flies low to Matthew Wade who takes it. India A are 123/5 in the 22nd over.
*Kedar Jadhav goes on the attack as he capitalises on some loose bowling from Zampa. A six and a four in the 17th over and Zampa concedes 12 runs in his second over. India A are 105/4 after 17 overs, needing another 230 runs from 33 overs.
* Joy and Tragedy for India A skipper Unmukt Chand. He gets to his fifty by lofting a full toss from legspinner Adam Zampa over long-on for a six. However, two balls later, Zampa bowls a straight one and Chand misreads the length. He looks to cut and the ball clips the off stump. The skipper goes for 52 and India A are 90/4 in the 15th over.
* GONE! Karun Nair goes and India A are in trouble. Nair flays a short and wide delivery from Gurinder Sandhu but Chris Lynn at point dives to his left to take a good catch. He departs for 6 and India A are 67/3 in the 11th over.
* Sean Abbott strikes with his first ball. Manish Pandey (11) tries to tuck a short delivery but gets a leading edge and Khawaja takes it at midwicket. India A are 52/2 in the eighth over.
* India A are on the attack after the fall of Agarwal's wicket. Unmukt Chand is batting aggressively on 27 off 17 balls as India A race to 47/1 after six overs.
* James Pattinson strikes for Australia A. Mayank Agarwal (10) cuts a short and wide delivery straight to point where Chris Lynn takes the catch. India A are 24/1 in the fifth over.
* Confident start from Mayank Agarwal by smashing two boundaries off Nathan Coulter-Nile in the second over. India A are 13/0 in the second over, in pursuit of 335.
* Australia finish the innings on 334/4.
* Wade is now on 31 from just 18 deliveries. Australia A breach the 320-mark.
* Wade has taken center-stage and his dispatching Indian bowlers with effortless ease.

* Rahul Dravid is braving a smile in the dressing room but spare a thought for him. His wards are being dismantled by the Aussies and they have had no answer yet. The batsmen have blunted every single attack directed against them with Chand using pace and spin without much success. Meanwhile, Parvez Rasool, Karn Sharma, and Axar Patel continue to roll their arms over.
* Aussie rampage continues unchecked. Both batsmen now in their 80s with the score on 176/0 after 27 overs.
* Burns has picked up pace since his fifty and is now matching Khawaja shot-for-shot.

* Aussies get off to a confident start! Khawaja has shown an early intent to step out to meet the pacers. Burns at the other end though is more traditional in his approach but it is working for the team.

Indians would look at the likes of Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair and Karn Sharma who have the ideal chance to impress the selectors. A good performance against the Aussies can go a long way in making them strong contenders for the India team. Another way in which India can possibly outfox the opposition is by trapping them in a web of spin. In fact, Unmukt has already said that he may unleash as many as three spinners against the team. "Yes, we might (field three spinners) as you know the ball is turning a bit. Moreover, these wickets have been used for the four-day games and are dry," he said on the eve of the match. It won't be easy though.
The Australians have more or less mastered the conditions. They have proved themselves in both bowling and batting. Especially, captain Usman Khawaja's planning and strategies have worked wonders so far.
Going by the current form of the Aussies, they look formidable but it remains to be seen if the Rahul Dravid-coached India A can make good use of the home advantage.
