This is bowled full and outside the off stump. Steven Smith looks to block this into the off side but gets an inside edge back that hits his pads and rolls onto the stumps. A massive sigh of relief from India as Steven Smith hangs his head down in disappointment. Just the breakthrough the hosts needed to start this session and they will now look to put some pressure on the new batter.  151/3

Ashwin bowls this flatter and down the leg, Cameron Green goes down to sweep it away, but goes through the shot a bit early as the ball arrives late and brushes against his gloves towards the keeper where Srikar Bharat takes a sharp low catch moving to his right. He bowls this slower through the air, on middle, tempting the batter to come on the front foot, Mitchell Starc obliges and tries to fend it, but gets an uppish inside edge and Shreyas Iyer at short leg shows good reflexes and takes a fine low catch. Nicely flighted on a length and around off stump, Nathan Lyon puts a big stride forward as he looks to block. Lyon though doesn't get to the pitch of the ball and the outside edge is found. The ball flicks the keeper's legs and loops up kindly to Virat Kohli at first slip and he makes no mistake. Lyon's solid resistance comes to an end and Australia finish with 480 runs on the board.  480/10

165.3 OUT! LBW! This is bowled flatter and angled in from middle, staying low as well. Todd Murphy looks to push at it but leaves a huge gap between bat and pad and misses the block. The ball hits him on the pads and there is a big appeal. The finger goes up and Ravichandran Ashwin has done the trick once again it seems but Todd Murphy has reviewed it. Nothing on UltraEdge and Ball Tracking shows that it is just clipping leg stump which means the on-field decision stands and Ashwin gets yet another five-fer in Test cricket, excellent from him. This is tossed up on a shortish length around off and the ball turns in a bit sharply. Gill goes on the back foot and looks to tuck but misses the ball completely and is rapped on the pads. There is a huge appeal for LBW and the finger is raised! Shubman Gill has reviewed it though. Nothing on UltraEdge. This is tossed up full and in line with the stumps. The ball straightens a touch after pitching and beats the inside edge of Cheteshwar Pujara's bat to rap against the pads. The Australian players go up in appeal and the umpire raises his finger. The batter goes for the review and UltraEdge shows no bat involved. Todd Murphy floats this one full and into the stumps. Ravindra Jadeja goes for a heave into the leg side but does not connect this well. The ball lobs up over mid on and Usman Khawaja stretches his hands over his head to grab onto the catch. India lose their fourth wicket and not the start they would have wanted this morning.  309/4

Lyon flights this up around middle, turning in a bit, Srikar Bharat prods forward to defend with hard hands, but the extra bounce and turn takes the inside edge as the ball loops up of his pads towards short leg where Peter Handscomb takes a dolly. Bharat is really disappointed as he misses out on a well-deserved half-century.  393/5

This is floated, full and on middle, Virat Kohli tucks it with soft hand towards mid-wicket and calls for two straightaway and Yadav responds too. However, Peter Handscomb runs in, picks it up and hits bullseye at the bowler's end with Umesh Yadav nowhere near the crease. The replay confirms the same and India lose their eighth wicket.  569/8

Travis Head gets drawn into the drive and ends up playing away from the body. Head doesn't reach the pitch of the delivery and the ball turns in sharply to beat the inside edge and knock over the top of off stump.
