He had an indifferent tour of the West Indies but Yusuf Pathan is hardly perturbed with the outcome of the ODI series and is pretty confident that things will fall in place as the long season unwinds.
"I may not have scored too many runs but I am not really disappointed with my performance in the West Indies. I would like to look at the positive side of it. I scored 30 in the last match and felt good as I was hitting the ball well," Yusuf said from his Baroda residence.
Since World Cup, critics have been scathing in their criticism of his inability to play the short ball but the affable senior Pathan begs to differ.
"You can have a look at my dismissals. Have I recently been dismissed to short-pitched stuff," he questioned.
"I don't think I have a problem with short-pitched bowling. And in any case when I encounter any problem, the best thing is to ask the senior Indian players. Once I talk to them, I can easily take corrective measures. Speaking to Irfan (Pathan) also helps as he knows my game inside out," Pathan, who has so far played 56 ODIs, stated.
