Kumar Sangakkara, for the first time, has won five tosses in succession in ODIs.
Suresh Raina has registered his third century in ODIs - one each against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong - all three away from home. The said hundred is his first against a formidable opponent
Raina's previous two hundreds were recorded in the Asia Cup - both at National Stadium, Karachi.
Raina, thanks to his 106 off 115 balls, has taken his run-aggregate in the series to 210 at an average of 105.00 in four innings, including one century and one fifty.
In tournament finals, the aforesaid innings is Raina's highest, obliterating the 24 against Pakistan in the Kitply Cup at Dhaka on June 14, 2008.
Raina is the first to post a hundred for India in a Grand Final in Bangladesh.
Raina became the fourth number six batsman for India to record a century in ODIs - the first three being Kapil Dev - 175 not out against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells on June 18, 1983; 119 by Ajay Jadeja against Sri Lanka at Colombo RPS on August 17, 1997 and 108 not out by Mohammad Azharuddin against New Zealand at Vadodara on December 17,1988.
Sourav Ganguly had recorded a century (124) in the best of three Finals of the Independence Cup against Pakistan at Dhaka on January 18, 1998
Virender Sehwag, during the course of his 42 off 27 balls, has completed his 7,000 runs in ODIs - 7036 at an average of 34.32, including 12 hundreds and 35 fifties, at a strike rate of 103..44 in 213 innings.
Sehwag has taken 213 innings to reach 7,000 runs - the said feat is the fourth fastest by an Indian batsman, next only to the 174 innings (a world record) by Sourav Ganguly, 189 by Sachin Tendulkar and 204 by Rahul Dravid.
Sehwag has averaged 35.17 against Sri Lanka - 1372 in 44 matches at an average of 35.17, including two centuries and three fifties at an impressive strike rate of 111.27.
Gambhir's second duck against Sri Lanka is his seventh in ODIs.
In tournament finals, Gambhir's overall performance is not upto the mark, aggregating only 75 in six innings at an average of 12.50, without a fifty, with a highest of 40 against Pakistan at Dhaka on June 14, 2008.
Yuvraj Singh has recorded his 13th duck in ODIs - his third against Sri Lanka.
Yuvraj has posted twelve ducks away from home.
Virat Kohli's series run-aggregate of 275 at an average of 91.66, including one hundred and two fifties, in five matches is the second best by an Indian in Bangladesh.
Mohammad Azharuddin's runs' tally of 284 (ave.71.00) in five matches in the Silver Jubilee Independence Cup in 1997-98 is the best for India in Bangladesh.
Kohli's series aggregate of 275 is the best for India in the Tri-nation series 2009-10, followed by Raina (210) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni - 184 (ave.61.33), including one hundred, in just four innings.
Sangakkara's tally of 274 is the second best in the competition (ave.68.50) including four fifties in five innings. The said performance is his best in a series as captain, eclipsing the 218 (ave.43.60) in five games against India in 2009-10.
Yuvraj, as a batsman, had a poor series, aggregating 96 in five matches at an average of 24.00.
Nuwan Kulasekara (4/48) has produced his second best bowling performance in ODIs - the career-best being 4 for 40 against India at Colombo RPS on August 29, 2008.
Kumar Sangakkara, with 301 dismissals (235 catches + 66 stumpings) is the third wicketkeeper to complete 300 dismissals or more, joining Adam Gilchrist (472) and Mark Boucher (414).
Sangakkara (7259) has become the second wicketkeeper to complete the double of 7,000 runs and 300 dismissals in ODIs. Adam Gilchrist (9410) was the first to perform the double.
Sangakkara's 55th fifty in ODIs is his 12th against India.
With four fifties in his last five innings, Sangakkara has improved his batting average as captain - 39.15 as compared to his overall career batting average of 36.55.
Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina have established a sixth wicket partnership record for India against Sri Lanka. Their partnership of 106 has surpassed the previous best of 85 between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan at Colombo RPS on February 3, 2009.
The 106-run stand is now India's second highest for the sixth wicket in Bangladesh - the hihest being the 107 (unbroken) between Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik against Bangladesh at Ddhaka (SBNS) on May 10, 2007.
Jadeja's 38 is his second highest in Bangladesh - the highest being the 39 against Sri Lanka at the same venue on January 5, 2010.
Chanaka Welegedara's bowling figures of 3 for 53 are his second best in ODIs - his career-best being the 5 for 66 against India at Dhaka on January 5, 2010.
Welegedara has claimed 8 wickets at an average of 26.12 in four games - the most by any bowler in the just concluded series.
Tharanga has recorded two successive ducks for the first time in ODIs. In his last four innings against India, he has registered three ducks.
Tharanga has posted nine ducks in ODIs - three against India.
Of his nine ducks, Tharanga has recorded eight overseas.
In tournament finals, Tharanga has averaged 2.66 - 8 runs in three innings - 6 vs. Australia in the ICC World Cup Final at Bridgetown on April 28, 2007; 2 vs. Bangladesh in the Tri-nation Tournament at Dhaka on January 16,2009 and 0 vs. India in the Tri-nation series at Dhaka on January 13, 2010.
Virender Sehwag's batting strike rate of 154.54 - 102 in three innings - is the best in the Tri-nation series.
Harbhajan Singh, in tournament finals, has bowled reasonably well, claiming 24 wickets at an average of 28.41 in 17 matches, with one five-wicket haul - 5 for 56 against Sri Lanka in the Compaq Cup at Colombo RPS on September 14, 2009.
Harbhajan, with two for 41, has taken his wickets' tally to 60 at an average of 26.06 in 45 matches against Sri Lanka. He is the leading Indian wicket-taker against Sri Lanka in ODIs..
Harbhajan is the leading wicket-taker for India in the just concluded competition - 6 at 24.00 runs apiece in three matches.
Mahela Jayawardene's match-winning fifty is his 52nd in ODIs - his 14th against India.
