Ahmedabad:
Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has requested BCCI to change the venue of Sri Lankan team's match against Board President's XI scheduled to be held at the Motera stadium here just three days ahead of India-Sri Lanka Test Match at the same stadium.
"Since the Test match between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled for November 16-20, there would be no time to get the pitch ready for the Test match after warm up match between Sri Lanka and Board President's XI," officials of the GCA said after GCA executive committee meeting today.
"We have asked the BCCI to change the venue for the match with the Board President's XI," officials added.
GCA officials said that the venue for two Ranji Trophy matches scheduled in the city at the same time will be shifted from Motera stadium.
The two Ranji Trophy matches will be played at Sardar Patel stadium in Navrangpura, instead of the Motera stadium, they said.
The GCA executive committee also made amendments in the body's constitutions and included two more vice-presidents taking the total to four.
The committee also added three more joint secretaries to the already existing one.
