New Delhi:
While Australia look depleted without Brett Lee, Tim Paine and lately James Hopes, India too have their share of injury worries ahead of the Mohali ODI.
Openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are rendered doubtful starters today's match as the duo sustained injuries during the third ODI in New Delhi on Saturday, and a final call on their availability will be taken on the morning of the game.
"Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir sustained injuries during the third match of the Hero Honda Cup 2009, played at Delhi on October 31. A final decision on their availability for the fourth match, to be played at Mohali on November 2 will be taken on the morning of the game," the BCCI statement read.
Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has been roped in as a cover. If Sehwag and Gambhir do not play today, then Karthik is likely to get a place in the playing XI along with Virat Kohli.
India lead the seven-match series 2-1.
