Former Australian Test batsman Dean Jones says he will trade his cricket bat for golf clubs and join the professional Australian Seniors Tour later this year.
The 51-year-old Jones has competed as an amateur in several Australian golf tournaments over the past three years, finishing third in the Victorian Senior Open in December.
Jones told local radio 3AW that he missed the competitive nature of sport and his showing at the Victoria Senior Open gave him the confidence to turn pro.
Jones played 52Â Tests for Australia with a batting average of 46.55 and 164 one-dayers at an average of 44.61.
