Lara notched the top slot after his superlative innings of 400 against England recently. While the stylish left-hander finished with 897 points, Dravid ended up with 892 points thanks to his match-winning 270 in the Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan. Virender Sehwag, who became the first Indian to score a triple century when he made 309 in Multan, was placed 9th on the chart, one spot behind teammate Sachin Tendulkar.
