Didn't suggest sex for Team India: Kirsten

It was the sort of advice that had other cricket teams openly wishing that he were their coach, too. Sex, solo if necessary, was what the Indian team's cricket coach had suggested to build testosterone and aggression.

Except it's apparently not true. "I would like to state that I have never encouraged or told the team or any player to engage in any form of sexual activity. These allegations are absolutely not true and completely against my religious and moral beliefs," Coach Gary Kirsten said on Friday at a press conference in South Africa.

So did anyone suggest sex for better performance to the Men in Blue? Kirsten says a report prepared by mental conditioner Paddy Upton was aimed at providing information to players, and was not meant to be implemented or used as team strategy.

The "sex-mantra" was allegedly part of a dossier handed to the cricket team. It suggested that the players eat well, take responsibility for their performance on and off the field.

English and Australian players had expressed their envy over the advice. They also said their own team strategies did not include similar features.
