Kolkata:

Known for his carefree style, Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Thursday said he felt comfortable wearing jeans and T-shirts most of the time as it had the casual look.

"When it comes to fashion, it matters what are you wearing and how you carry it. My fashion statement is being casual. I am happy wearing a pair of jeans and T-shirt most of the time. But for some special occasions, you need to wear something different. This is where designers come in," Dhoni told reporters at the sidelines of Kolkata Fashion Week here.

Dhoni said fashion was not limited to the upper strata of society.

"It is not that fashion is only for the top-earning community. Fashion is for everyone. After all, everyone wears clothes," said Dhoni who was made brand ambassador of Kolkata Fashion Week.

Asked whether he would be walking the ramps during the fashion week, he replied, "I am quite happy playing cricket.

So I will leave the job to models."

Speaking about his favourite fashion designer, he said he was a big fan of Narendra Kumar's creations.

"I know him personally and he is a gem of a person and is very creative. Rocky S is another favourite. But I don't know too many designers," he said.
