Butt to meet ICC task force on Sep 12
The ICC appointed special task force, exploring possibilities for resumption of cricket in the strife-torn country, will hold first meeting with the PCB.

The ICC appointed special task force, exploring possibilities for resumption of international cricket in the strife-torn country, will hold first meeting with the PCB on September 12.
The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ejaz Butt would meet the ICC task force chief Giles Clarke in England, the new Chief Operating Officer of the PCB Wasim Bari has confirmed.
"The discussions will primarily revolve around Pakistan's visit to England next year to play its 'home' Test series against Australia and then the tour of England," Bari said.
However, Bari admitted that since Clarke, who is also the head of England and Wales Cricket Board, was leading the ICC task force, the future of international cricket in Pakistan would also be reviewed.
ICC has made it clear that it is keen to help Pakistan as uncertain security situation has hampered the international cricket there with the foreign teams refusing to tour the country following a terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team-bus in Lahore earlier this year.
The ICC has formed a special task force to liaison with the PCB and other boards and work out a roadmap for resumption of international cricket in Pakistan and also monitor the security situation there.
"Obviously the resumption of international cricket in the country is our top priority and the Chairman is working hard on this issue. His meeting with Clarke is the first step towards our efforts to try to have international cricket in Pakistan in the next six months or so," said Bari, who is also a former skipper.
ECB has invited Pakistan to tour England for a four-Test and five-ODI series next year after the European country hosts Pakistan-Australia Test series.
Pakistan has been forced to play 'home' series against Australia at neutral venues due to the security situation and it will also play its scheduled series with New Zealand away from home later this year.
Bari said that Butt's meeting with Clarke will focus on finalization of a number of things regarding the tours to England next year.
