New Delhi:

Sparks have begun to fly in the ongoing India-Australia one-day series but the visitors' injured pace spearhead Brett Lee on Friday insisted that the players of his world champion side do not sledge.

Lee, however, conceded that players do get excited in the heat of the moment and try to unnerve the rival batsmen with a few sharp words here and there.

"We do not sledge. Actually players get excited at certain stage and situation of the match and say something but that's part of the game. Important is that you do not cross the line. That line must no be crossed," Lee told reporters here on the sidelines of a launch event.

There were minor incidents in the second one-dayer in Nagpur which Australia lost when Mitchell Johnson exchanged a few words and angry glances with Virender Sehwag and Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

"(But) There is no place for racial vilification (in the game)," Lee, who has been ruled out of the series, added.

The fast bowler said he was disappointed at sitting out.

"You don't enjoy sitting out. We are missing players, some guys are going back and we have to do it with whatever we have got. I am sure that guys who are playing will do their best on the field," Lee said.
