AUS-W vs PAK-W, Women's World Cup, Highlights: Australia showcased class and domination as they chased down the target in only 34.4 overs and with seven wickets remaining against Pakistan. All batters contributed handsomely after Alyssa Healy scored a fantastic half-century to lay down a solid platform in the run-chase. Captain Bismah Maroof scored a fighting 78 not out while Aliya Riaz also notched a half-century to take Pakistan to a respectable 190 for six in 50 overs against Australia in the 6th match of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday. Australia had kept Pakistan batters on a tight leash after winning the toss and electing to bowl . Pakistan lost four early wickets but Bismah Maroof and Aliya Riaz steadied the innings with a slow but a solid partnership. (SCORECARD)

AUS-W vs PAK-W, WWC 2022, Live Score
We are moments away from the run chase! Bismah Maroof is seen motivating her team in a huddle. The umpires are followed by the Pakistan players to the middle. Out come the dynamic-duo of Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes as they are set to open the innings. Diana Baig is set to start proceedings with the new ball. Let's play...
Craig McMillan is out there with an update on the Pitch. The heavy roller has been used during the break, he informs. He shows that there are no footmarks on the surface and the spin that Australia got was from the main body of the pitch. He is very interested to see how the Aussies will bat against the Pakistan spinners and so are we!
... The Run Chase ...
Right then! Pakistan Women have just 190 runs to defend but they have quality spinners in the side that can trouble the best of batters and on a pitch that is fairly slow, they might just have a chance. Australia Women though will be looking to just get out and play their strokes and chase down the target as soon as possible. Do join us in a short while for the chase.
Aliya Riaz comes up for a quick chat. Says that she is very happy with her performance and tells that she works on her basics and has executed them well in the match. Shares that the plan was to stay in the middle and build a partnership. Feels that there is help for the spinners and hopes for the best in the second innings.
Pakistan Women were reeling at 44/4 but the skipper stood up when it mattered the most and Bismah Maroof guided her side to a below-par but defendable total. Sidra Ameen and her new opening partner Nahida Khan had fallen in quick succession early on. Omaima Sohail gave good support to the skipper but couldn't hang on for long. Nida Dar soon followed Sohail but then came Aliya Riaz. Since the start of 2020, no one has scored more runs than her, batting at number 6 or 7. Slowly but surely, Maroof and Riaz created inroads and put on a 99-run stand as both the batters crossed the individual fifty-run mark. Riaz fell but Maroof stayed until the end and ended up with 78 runs.
On a slow track, Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry made a good start with the new ball. Schutt in particular was impressive and the pair picked up a wicket each to put the opposition on the back foot. The two leggies then came on after the Powerplay and Alana King as well as Amanda-Jade Wellington too picked up a wicket each very early on in their spell. After that though, the spinners were only able to stem the flow of runs and for almost 30 odd overs, Australia failed to pick up a wicket. The wicket did come and it was Carey who got the breakthrough but she was quite expensive at the death. King came back in late to pick up her second wicket but Schutt couldn't quite close out the innings as well as she would have wanted to.
It has been a tremendous fightback from Pakistan Women and they have somehow managed to get to 190 runs. This is by no means a par total but it is the effort that will give them a lot of hope when they come out to bowl. Australia Women though will feel fairly comfortable chasing it down even though they failed to pick up wickets in the middle overs.
FOUR! Great shot to end the innings! Megan Schutt lands it on a fuller length, around middle, Bismah Maroof steps back to make room and smashes it through the gap between mid off and extra cover. 12 from the over, Pakistan Women end on 190/6!
Very full and around off, Diana squeezes it out through mid off for a single.
FOUR! Clean hitting! Fuller in length, around off, Diana Baig goes full monty, swings her bat at it and powers it over square leg for a boundary.
A full ball on middle, Maroof swings it to deep mid-wicket for just a single.
Full and on middle, Maroof tries to whip it on the leg side but misses. It hits her on the pads and rolls beside the pitch. The non-striker wants a run but is sent back.
Wide! Megan tries to follow the batter down the leg side but ends up slipping it way too wide.
Around off, on a length, it's dragged over to deep mid-wicket for one.
Megan Schutt (9-1-31-1) will bowl the final over of the innings.
A yorker outside off, dug out to point.
Tucks it to square leg for a single.
Diana Baig is in at number 8.
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A floated leg spinner, landing around leg and turning away sharply, Fatima Sana goes down one knee to sweep but fails to middle her shot properly. There is a faint tickle and Alyssa Healy shows good reflexes to catch it. She initially looks to take the bails off but then stops and appeals. The finger goes up!
