Mumbai police has filed a case against a rock band, M Majors for cheating Australian cricketer Brett Lee after getting orders from a local court.
Brett Lee has alleged that he was cheated by the band. The organisers had promised to pay him Rs 10 lakh for the concert he performed along with the band in May 2011.
Next Level Media Communications, which represents Lee here, had moved the court with a complaint against Arundhati Deshmukh, Ameya Naik and Vignesh Vishwanth, the members of music band 'M Majors'.
According to the complaint, an orchestra had been arranged at Inorbit Mall in Malad in May last year when Lee was in the city. However, after the event, where Lee sang, the agreed amount was not paid to Next Level Media Communications (NLMC).
