London:

England paceman James Anderson has signed a new two-year contract with county side Lancashire.

The 30-year-old debuted in county with Lancashire in the year 2002, but has just managed to play in one championship season for the club due his England duties.

Lancashire, who are nursing a relegation from the Division One of the county championship, are unlikely to have much of the fast bowler this season too as England has a busy international schedule ahead. But Anderson have always stated his wish to play for Lancashire whenever time permits.
