Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday greeted Yuvraj Singh on his 28th birthday and hoped that the star India batsman would do even well in future.

Shortly before the second Twenty20 International between India and Sri Lanka was to start here, Bachchan had a brief chat with Yuvraj.

"Yuvi, happy birthday to you," the mega star told Yuvraj, who arrived at the PCA stadium along with his teammates for Saturday's match.

Yuvraj then referred to Bachchan's latest film "Paa" and the latter asked him that "you must go and watch the film". Bachchan also said that his favourite cricketers were Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar and added that many other youngsters were also doing well.

Later, sitting in the studio, Bachchan wished the dashing left-hander on his birthday, saying "I hope you do even well". Bachchan was present on Saturday in the studio of the sports channel which is broadcasting the Twenty20 international.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is having a big bash on the occasion of Yuvraj Singh's birthday irrespective of whether the hosts win or lose the match.

"It's going to be special for him (Yuvraj). We will celebrate his birthday whatever the result is," skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni told reporters here on Friday.
