Lahore:
The Standing Committee on Health of the National Assembly or lower house of parliament issued the direction after a meeting chaired by Nadim Ehsan.
Akram told the committee that doctors of the National Hospital were responsible for his wife's death. "The hospital administration charged 200,000 dollars for the treatment and commission to send Huma to Singapore," he said.
He claimed the "wrong treatment" resulted in kidney failure.
Federal Health Minister Ijaz Jakhrani has already said a probe into Huma's death had established the "negligence of doctors". Jakhrani has directed the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council to cancel the licenses of the doctors involved in treating Huma.
Huma died in Chennai in India in October. She was being taken to Singapore in an air ambulance when her condition worsened and the aircraft was diverted to Chennai.
The doctors who were treating her have claimed that she was improving and the decision to shift her to Singapore proved fatal as she was not in a condition to travel.
