Victoria Azarenka has returned to the world top 10 for the first time since August, 2014 on the back of her win over top-ranked Serena Williams in the final of Indian Wells on Sunday.
A former world number one herself, the Belarussian has struggled with injury and motivation over the last two years, but has been gradually working her way back and her victory moves her up seven places to eighth.
Going the other way is Maria Sharapova. The Russian is injured and under the cloud of a failed drug test and she has fallen out of the top 10 for the first time since January, 2011.
Elsewhere Agnieszka Radwanska is back up to second place thanks to her run into the semi-finals at Indian Wells, but she trails well behind the dominant Williams.
