Sania-Vesnina progress to Wimbledon semi final
Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina have progressed to the Wimbledon womens' semi final after beating the pairing of Llagostera Vives and Parra Santonja.

Sania Mirza reached the Wimbledon doubles semifinal for the first time in her career after she and Elena Vesnina came from behind to beat Nuria Llagostera Vives and Arantxa Parra Santonja on Wednesday. (Also read: Sania-Bopanna in mixed doubles third round)
The fourth seed Indo-Russian pair recorded a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over the unseeded Spanish pair in the quarter-final.
Sania's best performance here previosuly was reaching the quarterfinals with American partner Bathanie Mattek in 2008.
The Roland Garros finalists faced stiff resistance from the giant killing Spanish combo but they quickly got back into the rhythm to prevail in a hard-fought battle.
Sania and Vesnina will next face the winner of the other quarter-final match between the Chinese pair of Shuai Peng and Jie Zheng and Czech Republic's Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia.
