Sania loses doubles in Istanbul

New Delhi: Sania Mirza and her Australian partner Alicia Molik have lost in the finals of the Istanbul Cup. The Hyderabad hurricane was hoping to win her second doubles title of the year after winning the Bangalore Open in February earlier this year. Sania Mirza and Alicia Molik were beaten 6-2, 6-4 by Alona Bondarenko of Ukraine and Belarussian Anastasia Yakimova. Sania ranked 38th in singles will next be seen in action against former champion and world number 12 Anastasia Myskina in the first round of the French Open.
