Indian tennis ace Leander Paes is eager to partner Rohan Bopanna at the Olympics next year and says that the two can win a men's doubles medal at the Rio de Janeiro Games. (Czech Lead India 2-1 in Davis Cup)
"Bopanna is a phenomenal player. I believe in him and I do believe we can win an Olympic medal together. As long as we believe in each other we can win medals," the 42-year-old Paes said here on Saturday.
The veteran is the only Indian to bring home a medal from tennis -- a feat he accomplished way back at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics when he won the men's singles bronze.
"It is about our belief because we have the tennis and fitness in us. I have got a phenomenal partner in Rohan. He is a hell of a tennis player. I believe in his abilities," Paes added. (Paes to Decide to Future After Rio Olympics)
