World Number One tennis superstar Djokovic apologised for his outburst towards a ball boy during the final of the Miami open, according to an article in www.dnaindia.com.
"I saw the replay, and unfortunately the ball boy was in the middle of it and I really feel sorry and regret that he was there," Djokovic said in a video posted on his Facebook page.
In the video, Djokovic offered his heart-felt apologies saying that the outburst was 'misdirected' and the ball boy unfortunately fell in the middle of it. (Djokovic Out to Make Most of His Moment)
"There was absolutely no intention whatsoever to hurt him or scare him in any kind of way, and I sincerely hope that he forgives me", the Serbian said.
He also said sorry to the ball boy's parents. (Djokovic Relishes 'Brutal' Battle with Murray)
"I really apologise, and also as a parent I do care about children a lot right now," he said.
The 2014 Wimbledon winner was blessed with a son named Stefan in last October. The 27-year-old said the birth of his son has brought about a change in perspective in his life and as a parent, he wouldn't want his son to be caught in such an incident.
"I look at it in a much different way, so I want to apologise to his parents as well for this situation and as a father I wouldn't wish something like this happens to my son," said Djokovic.

The incident also shocked the crowds present. Djokovic, popularly known as the 'Djoker' for his fun loving attitude, lost his bearings after forfeiting the second set in his 7-6, 4-6, 6-0 win over Andy Murray.
He lost his cool and yelled in anger at the ball boy when the young kid came up to hand him the towel. He also aggressively yelled in frustration towards his supporter box.
The strapping Serbian was handed a violation by the chair umpire but he argued that the official had no idea of what he had said. The chair umpire however, replied that Djokovic's act 'didn't look good.'
After that small blip, Djokovic got his act together and went on to claim his fifth Miami title.
